Who I am

My journey with the Spanish language began in Spain, where I spent two years working as an Auxiliar de Conversación in Castilla y León. My time living and teaching abroad offered and immersive language-learning opportunity shaped by everyday communication and meaningful cultural engagement.

During my first year, I paired that immersion with weekly informal lessons that helped me build a strong foundation. In my second year, I committed to formal tutoring to prepare for the DELE B1 exam. Although the exam was ultimately cancelled due to the pandemic, the preparation itself strengthened my grammar, vocabulary, and confidence in meaningful ways.

When COVID‑19 forced me to return to the United States, I brought back not just language skills, but a deep appreciation for Spanish culture and communication. Now, I use that experience to help students learn Spanish in a way that feels natural, practical, and enjoyable. My teaching style blends real‑life conversation, clear explanations, and a supportive environment where progress feels motivating.
